After gathering a couple of science degrees and then spending a fruitful decade or so science writing for CSIRO magazines and co-authoring a book, Davidson sought refuge and further creative enrichment at the Canberra School of Art Wood Workshop. There he learnt how to hold a marking gauge and other more lofty hand and mind skills like dove-tailing, drawing, designing and swearing. Along with his family (Jude, Keith and Emily), wood now dominates his life ... and garage. |

Since graduating from the School of Art, he has set up shop in Canberra and is currently working on commissions. Most of his pieces explore the juxtaposition of curved organic lines with straight ones. If he makes something without a bend in it, others express surprise and question his health! |
